Proposal — Missed-Call Rescue

Never lose another job to voicemail.

An AI text-back system for plumbing, HVAC & electrical shops. Missed calls get an instant reply, get qualified, and get held for your one-word confirmation while you're still on the job.

Backed by the 2-minute guarantee, in writing below.

The problem

Every shop misses calls. You're under a sink, in an attic, on a roof. The phone rings and nobody picks up. A caller who reaches voicemail can hang up and dial the next shop on Google in seconds.

A single recovered job is often worth hundreds of dollars. A water-heater replacement can run $800 or more. How many of those went to a competitor last month simply because nobody answered in time?

Missed-Call Rescue fixes exactly that: the caller hears from you in seconds, not hours.

How it works

  1. Someone calls while you're busy. The call goes unanswered, same as today.
  2. Within seconds, they get a text from your shop. "Sorry we missed you. This is [Your Shop]'s assistant. What do you need help with today?"
  3. The system asks a few quick questions. What they need, how urgent it is, the ZIP code, their name. No app for them to download, no hold music.
  4. It offers a time slot inside YOUR business hours — and holds it. Nothing is promised to the customer yet.
  5. You get a text. "Hot lead — water heater (~$850). Customer wants tomorrow 9–11am. Reply YES to confirm." One word from you locks it in, or you suggest another time.
  6. Only then does the customer get "Confirmed!" You stay in control of every single booking.

The rule the whole system runs on: it holds; you confirm. The system never promises a time you didn't approve.

The number, three ways, so it can't be missed:

1. You get a second number, just for the business.
2. Your own phone number stays exactly the same — you keep using it exactly as today.
3. The new number is the one you hand out — truck, Google listing, website, cards. It rings your phone like always. The only difference is what happens when you can't answer: the caller gets a text back instead of voicemail.

What's included

Nothing to install. Nothing to learn. No new apps. We set up a brand-new number in your area code, and it rings the phone in your pocket like always.

The one change, in plain words: your system runs on a brand-new local number, not the number you use now. The new number is the one your customers call — put it on your truck, your Google listing, your website, and your cards. It rings your regular phone exactly like always; when you can't pick up, the system texts the caller back within 2 minutes. Your old number keeps working, but calls to it are not covered — the system only sees calls to the new number. So from go-live, the new number is the number you hand out.

The price

One-time payment
$1,497
One payment. No monthly plan, no keep-it-running fee. The system runs on your accounts, not ours.

Prefer to split it? Pay $747 now and $750 when your system goes live. Same total, same guarantee.

A water-heater replacement runs $800 or more. Two recovered jobs like that cover the whole $1,497. Everything after that is found money.

The guarantee — in writing

Every genuine missed call answered within 2 minutes, or every cent back.

If any genuine missed call doesn't get a text back within 2 minutes during your first 30 days live, you get a full refund. No exit interview, no hard feelings, no fine print games.

A "genuine missed call" means a real person called and the call went unanswered — not spam, not robocalls. Every text-back time is in the system logs — we'll show you. The guarantee covers the days the system is live and connected. If the connection is turned off or the number is changed without telling us, those days don't count.

Questions owners actually ask

What do I have to do? How much work does this add?

A 10-minute form at the start (services, prices, hours, how you take bookings). After that, your entire job is replying "YES" to a text when a hot lead comes in. That's it.

What apps or software do I need?

None. No apps, nothing to install, nothing to learn. We set up a brand-new local number in your area code — the number your customers call from go-live. It rings your regular phone, and hot leads arrive as plain texts on the phone you already carry.

Do my customers have to call a different number?

Yes — this is the one real change, so here it is plainly. Your system runs on a brand-new local number, not the number you use now. The new number is the one customers call: put it on your truck, your Google listing, your website, and your cards. It rings your regular phone exactly like always; when you can't answer, the caller gets a text back within 2 minutes. Your old number keeps working, but calls to it are not covered — the system only sees calls to the new number. That's why the new number has to be the one you hand out.

How does it know when I'm free? Do I update it constantly?

You don't. At setup you give your general hours (e.g., Mon–Fri 8–5). The system offers slots inside those hours and holds one — then texts you to confirm with a single YES. It never promises a time you didn't approve.

Why doesn't it just text me and let me reply to the customer?

Because when you're under a sink for three hours, the customer has already called the next plumber. That fast response is the entire product. Speed is what saves the job. The system handles the first minute as your shop's assistant, then hands you a qualified lead to confirm.

You say one-time — is the texting really included?

The build is one-time. The messaging itself runs on your own Twilio account: a few cents per text, about a dollar a month for the number, and $1.50–$10/month in carrier campaign fees, billed to you directly by Twilio. We don't mark it up and we're not in the middle of it.

Will it sound robotic to my customers?

It answers as your shop's assistant in plain language, and it only handles the first 60 seconds: greeting, what they need, holding a slot. Anything complicated goes straight to you. Customers just experience a business that picked up fast.

What if it doesn't work?

Then you get every cent back — if any genuine missed call isn't texted back within 2 minutes in your first 30 days live, that's a full refund, in writing above. The risk sits with me, not you.

Do I make calls from the new number?

No. You keep calling customers from your own phone, exactly as today. The new number is for incoming business calls — it rings your phone, and the system only steps in when you can't answer.

Do I get my own login?

Yes. The Twilio account is yours — your login, your number, your bill (about $1/month for the number, $1.50–$10/month in carrier campaign fees, a few cents per text). We work inside it during setup and hand it over; we never hold your password.

What if my hours, prices, or services change later?

Your business facts live in one simple settings sheet in your own account. Edit it any time — hours, services, prices, wording — and the system follows it. No need to contact anyone.

What about vacations or holidays?

The same settings sheet has a pause switch. Flip it and the system holds everything until you flip it back.

What if I lose my Twilio password?

Reset it at Twilio like any account — it's yours. We never hold it, so there's nothing to ask us for.

What if something breaks after handover?

The 14-day install-fix window is on us: if the installation itself doesn't work as built, we fix the installation. After that window, the settings sheet covers most changes yourself.

Can I cancel?

Any time. Cancel the number in your own Twilio account — there's no subscription with us to cancel.

Your launch timeline

*I file your carrier registration on Day 0 — it's handled for you. Most registrations clear in 1–5 business days. Your 30-day guarantee starts the day you go live, so a carrier delay never costs you money.

One thing to do in the first 7 days

Your system runs on your own Twilio account. That keeps the system fully in your name, and Twilio bills you directly for messaging. When you check out, you'll receive a setup walkthrough that takes about 5 minutes. Please complete it within 7 days of purchase so we can install inside your setup window. If setup isn't completed within 7 days, the installation closes. We don't run your system on our accounts, and we don't carry messaging costs for accounts that were never set up.

We'll remind you on day 3 and day 6. "Setup complete" means your Twilio account is created and access is granted. The carrier approval wait (usually 1–5 business days) runs on your account in parallel and does not extend the 7-day deadline. Your 30-day guarantee clock starts only at go-live, so it never runs before your system is actually live.

Missed-Call Rescue is a service of Walnut Elm Company.

Terms & Conditions (the small print): Missed-Call Rescue is a one-time installation service billed by Walnut Elm Company; payments are processed by Stripe. Email from us comes from @coverageport.com addresses; coverageport.com is the email domain of Walnut Elm Company. All prices are in US dollars. Price: $1,497 one-time, or split $747 at purchase + $750 invoiced at go-live; Starter installation $497. The price covers the installation described on this page and nothing else: it does not include Twilio or carrier charges, your phone or internet service, advertising, or later changes or additions. If you choose split payment, the second $750 is invoiced when your system goes live, is due on the invoice's terms (Net 1), and the installation is handed over when it is paid. Starter includes instant text-back on missed calls, qualification, and an instant alert to you; it does not include holding a time slot for your approval. We install an automated text-back system on a new, dedicated phone number provisioned through your own Twilio account; your own phone number is not changed. The system only sees calls to that new number. Calls to your existing number, or to any other number, are not covered, and we are not responsible for calls the system never receives — you are responsible for advertising and handing out the new number. You pay Twilio and the carriers directly for your account (registration currently runs about $19.50–$61 one-time and $1.50–$10/month in campaign fees, plus number rental and per-message charges; those amounts are set by Twilio and the carriers, they can change, and they are never billed by us). Carrier vetting typically completes within up to 5 business days; approval, rejection, and timing are the carriers' decisions and are outside our control. If carrier registration is ultimately rejected and the system cannot go live, we refund your installation payment in full. Your part of the setup — a short onboarding form, and opening your own Twilio account (about five minutes, with our guide) — must be completed within 7 days of purchase. If it is not, the installation closes: we cancel the build and refund your payment in full, and you are welcome to buy again when you are ready. We may extend the 7 days in writing. We build within 5 business days of your completed setup; go-live happens when carrier registration is approved. The system answers using the business information you give us (services, prices, hours); we are not responsible for errors in information you provide. Guarantee: if any genuine missed call to your new number — a call that rings and is not answered — is not answered by the system within 2 minutes at any point in the first 30 days after go-live, your installation fee is refunded in full, verified from system logs, which live in your own Twilio account. "Genuine" means a real person calling about your business — not spam, robocalls, wrong numbers, or calls you or your team place to test the system. The guarantee covers only days the system is live and connected: days it is disconnected, paused, or not yet set up, and days it cannot send because your Twilio account is suspended, out of funds, or was changed by you, Twilio, or the carriers, do not count. To claim, email us once identifying the call; if the logs confirm it, the refund is issued to your original payment method within 10 business days of confirmation. If you paid in two parts, the guarantee covers everything you paid for the installation. After handover you have a 14-day window for fixes to the installation as delivered: if part of the installation does not work the way it was built, we fix it free. That window does not cover changes, new features, or problems caused after handover by you, your team, Twilio, or the carriers. The service ends at handover; no ongoing management, monitoring, or subscription is included. The demo on this site is illustrative: it shows how the system works, and figures on this site (such as example job values) are examples, not promises of results or income. If a payment is reversed or disputed before handover, work pauses until it is resolved. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid for the installation. The terms on this page at the time of your purchase are the terms for your purchase.
